Mixed Choir
Mixed Choir meets 4th Hour and 5th Hour.
These choirs are designed for students who are new to Washington High School or to singing in general. This class teaches the basics of sight reading, music reading and other music theory elements. We also work on vocal techniques to prepare the students to move up in the program. These students have several performance opportunities throughout the year as well.

Meistersingers
Meistersingers is an auditioned mixed choir that meets 3rd Hour from 10:20am to 11:10am. This choir focuses on sight reading, vocal techniques and music theory elements that is needed to perform for State Contest. To become a member, one must be able to sight read sufficiently and know the basics of vocal technique and music theory. Meistersingers also performs and serves at the annual Madrigal Dinner and various other opportunities throughout the year.
Concert Choir
Concert choir is our top auditioned mixed choir and meets 2nd Hour from 9:25am to 10:15am. To become a member of Concert Choir, one must be able to sight read very well and be a strong singer in ways of music theory and vocal technique. These choir members have to be committed to a busy performance schedule, as they perform for multiple events in the community and school functions. Concert choir also performs at State Contest, Madrigal Dinner and various other concerts throughout the year.
